Just hooked up my new coralvue ballasts(pic)
So the current setup is:
2 x 400w coralvue ballasts 2 x 400w reeflux 12k bulbs ( need 2 b changed - over 1 year) 2 x Lumenarc mini reflectors 4 x G-man T5 Actinic Pure I have say that for the past year the Reeflux bulbs were running on magnetic ballasts and after reading all the posts about how these bulbs should only be run on elec ballasts I decided to order 2 units from Coralvue and all I can say is : YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT! There is a big difference in the intensity of the light and the color of the fish and corals - my yellow tang never looked more beautiful and YELLOW ![]() [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]() [IMG] ![]() |

Uhhh, looks really.... blue. I'd hate it if my tank looked like that, but if you like it that's all that really matters.

Wow that is one tall tank! You definitely need the 400w, and it's looking good. What are the dimensions?

The first picture is really your best picture. The camera captured the light accurately in that image.
I like your tiny hippo too. |

People think the Reeflux 12k are too blue but I think they are perfect - you really can't tell from these photos but the light is acutally very white with a strong hint of blue. |

Don't draw any conclusions from the pictures. It's a sure bet that *none* of them accurately capture the true color of the tank.
