Does anyone use blue life? I am using XM and dont think they held there color very well. XM DE bulbs do great but the mogul base is not so good. I have 20k bulbs that look like 10k after 5 months.

I've used the 10 K SE Ushios for all my set ups until this year. I am now using the XM 15 ks since January. I like them very much, time will tell how they hold up. I'd have stayed with the Ushio if they offered a 15K bulb. The Ushio bulbs look the same even after a full year of use, they are very good bulbs IME.

I used to use Ushios and switched to Blue Line SPS bulbs. I like them and the price is right.

I have used XM and Ushio's SE 10k bulbs and I got to say that the Ushio's last longer and have better color IMO.

I had SE 10K XM bulbs and they were too yellow for me, even supplemented with actinics. I switched to 14K hamiltons and I am really happy with them.
If it helps customaquatics.com is offering free shipping on there MH bulbs.

Not on your list, but ReefLux are my personal favorite. Their 12K is the best bulb I've found.

I really think so. I don't see any visible differences in my tank lighting and I run them much longer than I should (usually 2 years), but I have a mixed reef (frogspawn, brain, button, xenia, torch, clams, leathers, mushrooms, two huge RBTA) and my sps corals are relatively easy.

I think if I had all difficult sps I would change them at one year, as that is what I've read would be more appropriate for sps.
