Water turned cloudy in less than 2 hours time!!

Went out for breakfast.. Came back and I see a cloudy tank!!! it was clear before..

No idea what's the cause, going to do a WC ..

Nothing died in the tank, All corals and fishes are accounted for.. Skimmer isn't going haywire(weird..).. Oh, all are healthy though..

Could it be that the government has been misting parasites pesticide early this morning?? I doubt that's the cause though..(if it's true all of inhabitants would be dead now..)

Drew

I'd say the government is to blame.

Maybe a fish was stirring up the sand and made it cloudy.

are you sure one of your power heads did not came of its suction cups and stirred all the sand?....
and according to your profile you're just starting...your water will get cloudy and then will slowly start to clear.......looks like your set up is just beginning to cycle.

Well Here's a better list..

I WCed and everything was back to normal...

Fishes:
Maroon Clown(less than 0.8')
Algae Blenny
Six line Wrasse

Inverts:
Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
Pin Cushion Urchin
Hermits of all variations(Black/yellow spot, blue, red)
RBTA(No bigger than 1'Diameter.. )

Corals:
Green Hammer
Start Polyps
Zoas
Shrooms
Blastos
Trumpet coral

I didn't dose anything in particular last night or this morning.

That's pretty much it.. No power heads dropped or so.. It's all Magnet type...
THe matter is pretty much resolved but I have no idea what can make it so cloudy.. Main suspect is the wrasse giving the sand a good stir..

Further info: My breakfast was eggs with bacon thanks for asking LOL!!!

Odds are some fish stirred up your sand bed. But it also could have been your BTA Spawning. Prob not but its a possibility.

Likely suspect: Your anemone spawned. I had this happen once, and it turned my whole tank cloudy (granted my BTA was about 6-8" diameter). I was actually lucky enough to watch the event. It lasted for a good hour or so. If I remember correctly, I didn't have any saltwater mixed up, so I had to wait until the next morning to do a water change. Everything was just fine. If that's what it is, it should have cleared up in a few hours. I believe I did run my canister filter with carbon, so that probably helped clear it up. How's the tank looking now?
