When do you change Bulbs?

When do you change your MH DE bulbs?
How about T5? MH runs about 9 hours and T5 about 11 hrs. Is there any calculator? Thanks

I replace my 150w DE bulbs about every 9 months to a year, depending on what kind of bulb I am on at the time.

I change my mh once a year. But I just bought a par meter so we shall see how long they last.. I've been told they have the same output at 12 months as they do at 14 -16 months. 99.9% of people just guess. They dont measure the light output on new bulbs or their old ones.. So they just guess when its time.. Also not all bulb ballasts are the same.. So it really shouldn't be a set time for all MH bulbs.. I'm sure a SE xm bulb on a magnetic ballast probably doesn't last the same as one on a Electronic.. Just cause one bulb ballast combo is good for 12 months doesnt mean another isnt shot at 9 months

Isn't is it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do "practice"?
