For a FOWLR should be ok. Some say that sps may be a little sensitive with the change, but I've done it and saw no problems.

Well.... Its ok to change. Instant Ocean is ok for a FOWLR tank. But if its a reef tank...you would be better off with Reef Crystals.

Reef Crystals has more of the Calcium....Iodine...& other of the supliments that you want for a reef tank.....built into the salt.

I now use Oceanic Natural Sea Salt mix.....Now all my paramiters / levels....are right on the money.....ON SUPS..

NOW as changing.......I would add a 50/50 mix for the first 2 or 3 water changes..........just to be sure I dont shock the fish or corals
