ich on goldrim tang

I have a goldrim tang that gets white spots all over his body in the evening right before the lights go off. In the morning they are gone. I looks just like ich, but doesnt ich stay on all the time?

if it's all gone by morning everyday, then it's not ich. ich stays on and will go away, but when it comes back it doesn't stay just for the night.

Yes that is ich. It falls off them at night and as the day wears on it will get worse and worse again. My yellow did it for about 5 days when i got him. Water quality and diet are very important. I did water changes nightly and fed foods enriched with things like selcon to combat the problem and i still have the same yellow tang.

there is no white spots on him during the day. They appear only about 1 hour before my lights go off for the night. When the lights come back on the white spots have disappeared.

My water quality is kinda poor right now because my skimmer is awaiting a new venturi part. (Should be here soon) I will do a 20g water change today.
