cheato in display.
Can I put some cheato in a filter basket at the back top corner of my tank? I dont have a sump or refuge.
I would like the to get the positive benifits of the cheato. When I pitched the none working canister filters I kept a basket. |

I don't see why not. I buddy of mine keep his in a suction "soap dish" from walmart. Its in his main tank under lights untill someone comes and takes it. he gives it away.

No problem with chaeto in the display; however, I don't think that the amount will be enough to make a difference. And if you do have enough chaeto to benefit from it, then imo you'll have a display tank of macroalgae.

That is a shame you trashed the nonworkinf canister you could have been creative and used that as a sump/refugium! I mean some people use buckets I could help you come up with a plan but we would have to start a new thread in the right section. DIY forum Just an idea
