Schuran Calcium Reactor Operation

Ok it is what I get for buying used equipment I guess. First of all I had to fiddle with the darn regulator to get it to flow right which it is not where it should be but it is close for now.
I have a Schuran Pica reactor and to get the PH below 6.5 I have to dial the inlet valve back to maybe less than 2 fluid ounces a minute. In doing so the the outlet tube sends Co2 bubbles through it. Is this normal?

Seems ok now it took a couple of days to settle down. Bubble count is about right now and flow must be normal to be a tiny trickle but 6.2 is where the PH is on the exit so I'm guessing this is about right. First time I've ever used one.
