man this is a pain(but fun)down to the final three
Ok here we go I have a 150 gal. tank with a 75 gal. sump filled 12 inches high so somewhere around 40 gal. give or take.I know myself I will have a alot of fish in it and a good mix of corals. So here are the three I have narrowed it down to.Oh and please don't tell me MSX or octo extreme I just don't care for the pumps on those skimmers.
1.first choice is an ATB I can't decide me or small. 2.second choice bubble king mini 180 3.third choice Octo pro 300 (this is the one my wallet says to get) what do you all think thanks ![]() |

All three are great choices, I just got the OCTO Extreme 300 on a 150 W/ large sump and fuge. She has doubled the performance of my ASM G4X.
If I had the money to throw at it (which I don't) I would go with the Bubble King. |

If you have the funds its got to be the BK. It's a no brainer imo

well a 1000.00 is my limit and the new bk pump is such a nice addition to the 180mini at first it was the 200 mini.

I have the same exact set-up as you(45 gallons in my 75 gallon sump), I use the Octo 300. Its great. I can tell I have plenty of room for more fish too.
Don't all these skimmers use the same pump?(The mini prolly uses a smaller pump) It seems that is the single most important part of the equation. Why spend more than you have too.
