250g Tank T5 Lighting, 8x60w or 8x80w

A friend of mine has a 250g tank that measures 72inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide.
Which configuration should she go?
Her fish maintance guy said 8x60w was enough but I feel it's shorter than the other one and I recommended 8x80w. So which would you go for?

Money is not a issue and halides will not work because she wants to keep her canopy. The tank is in a large room for company meetings, not house hold use.
And I'd like to know what the light combos should be and I'd like to know where to buy this stuff.

Retrofit style not fixture.
