Wrasse Missing for a week! now what?

so I bought a six line wrasse last Thursday. I haven't seen him since. it has been a week. I assume he is dead as I had an ammonia spike earlierthis week. this may also be due to the fact that I added so new live rock with critters on it.

I'm on. 30 gal tank. no sump, so he's not stuck in plumbing. he's. didn't jump, I didn't find a carcus. he doesn't come out at feeedong time. so now what? I assume if he is dead my clean up crew went to town on him. should I just move on at this point, or wait another week before getting a replacement wrasse?

If you suffered an ammonia spike, I would wait 4 weeks before adding anything
