What kind of algae is this???

It's firm and spongy and growing right under a 250 w 14k hqi bulb.

I call it turf algae. Is it fuzzy at all. I have a lot of experience with algae having every kind known to man in my tank!http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-0...ides/index.php

Looks like turtle weed, but it's hard to tell from the pics. Lots of people keep turtle weed in fuges, etc. Nice algae, but can become a nuisance. Nearly impossible to eliminate once it gets a foothold. You can try some tangs, like a Kole.

It is fuzzy & firm... it has pods crawling all over it.
