Each individual fish is different, but if he doesn't come out by 36-48 hours I would begin to worry.

What are the other tank mates?

2 true perc's,damsel, 2 sixlines, kole tang, Yellow Tang, 2 cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, sh!t ton of crabs and snails, lawn mower blenny, and convict blenny. The Naso is medium size, about the size of the Kole.

The Kole Tang seemed upset with the Naso at first, but the Yellow kept protecting the Naso, swimming in between the two. Now the Naso just chill's out in his hole.

could take even a couple weeks until it's comfortable with all the other fish. what are the sizes of the tangs? and is the naso eating well that you can see?

That's normal. I just released a pair of jaw fish into my tank. It's now 48 hours and I still haven't seem them, but I do see a cave with excavation.

Unfortunately, it's right next to my clowns that just spawned, so I bet that won't work for long.
