What is wrong with my powder blue? pictures included.
I am not very experienced in fish diseases because I just have not had many over the years. What is this stuff on my fish? Can someone ID?
Look at those circular indents on its body. Obviously some kind of parasite. Please tell me what this is. Searches on google have turned up nothing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

maybe parasites or scars from rubbing on rocks.

Its not scars from rocks. I thought it was that at first, but that was over 2 months ago. Its always the same circular scar pattern. You can see both sides of the fish has similar patterns.
Infact if the picture quality was better you could see faded circular patterns that have healed.

Ive had this fish for years, and have not changed anything in tank. There is no intakes that small that the tang is exposed to in my tank.
The only reason I got worried was because he was acting weird. Swimming real fast , all around the tank. He was still eating, but was more concerned about his reflection in the glass. So I caught him last night, fw dipped him, then gave him a bath in fluke tab water, with some maracyn 2. He seems more normal today.

They look like bite marks to me. Could be accidental during feeding frenzy, or he could be working out some issues with another fish.
Keep in mind that their mouths open quite wide, so those marks are probably caused by a fish that is smaller than you might think.

do the indents move? i think it's scratches... or from another tang
my spotted cheek gets them a lot... 1 day he has them, another nada. my wife kept saying him and my blue tang were "getting into it" - i never saw this and then one day i did... so i concluded they're just battle scars
