safe to take frags/corals off bottom and try to place on rocks?

Hi all, I was just wondering if you think it would be ok to arrange all my frags onto the rock work and get the ugly eggcrate (that they are now resting on) out. All frags are on plugs BTW.

Tank info:
75 gallon display with sump, fuge, skimmer
250 watt MH 14K pendant 9 inches above tank
temp 79-81
ph 8.2-8.35
salinity 1.024-1.025
calcium 420-430ppm
alk 10.5 dKH
mag 1140 ppm, cannot seem to get it higher, I dose seachem

That's about all I check for right now. My main concern is light shock. I totally bleached a red/orange m. cap and an m.digitata a while ago. All my frags have been with me since 8-8-08 from Liveaquaria. I have eggcrate cut down to fit the top of the aquarium and I put several sheets of white paper on top of that to shield the corals. I removed one sheet of paper per week to hopefully acclimate them to the light. I hope all this make sense and thanks for looking. Btw the absolute highest I could mount a coral would still be about 15-16" away from the lights.

im sure if you use your light acclimation technique with the paper layres it would be just fine to move your corals up from the bottom.

the one thing to consider would be which corals are moved up. if you have acroporas, then moving them up would be ideal. but if you have zoanthids or mushrooms, they would most likely fair better on the bottom.
