leaking bulkhead
I put a new bulkhead on a brand new cleaned acrylic fuge and it has a slight trace leak on the outside which drives me nuts because of the salt creep. I've tightened the inner part but if I over tighten it it gets worse. Going to drain it, take it off, clean the acrylic and replace it. But has anyone ever used some kind if sealant around it or anything that would help prevent this? Or is there a common cause I'm missing?? Thanks

about half say put them on dry, the other half say use a slight amount of plumbers silicone grease. a third option is a little bit of aquarium sealant, but that would be my last choice. I put mine on with a dab of silicone grease and tighten about 1/4 to 1/2 turn past good n snug.
