red algae

Need help with this one. I have been sick the last few days and never really got out of bed. Well I woke up today to some red algae on the glass, some in the sand and some on the rock. What causes this is and whats the quickest way to get rid of it?

Well looks like cyano and to rid of it control nitrates and phosphates but a temp (quick) fix is the remover like from chemi-clean
