Just a qustion

I just started a 55 gal reef with about 50 lbs of rock some life so bare i put a frag of mushrrom in a frag of zanthoieds. Some name like that. But i have 2 65 wat pc day bulbs and 2 65 wt atinics. when do i need to run them. will that even grow anything ?? are there things i need to look out for when it comes to salt ?? also i have some purple slime algie growing all over everything and some green algie is that bad if so how do i get rid of it..

Any one if ft collins that could stop buy and give me input woule be nice to ...

im no expert but i would start by finding out why your phosphates are so high(algea problem) where do you get your water. your test may say you have no phosphates cause your algea is eating it all. i would run your lights now for your mushroom and zoos. i would upgrade your lights before you buy anymore corals. as far a salt you will find the brand that best suits your needs over time. some salts are made for heavily stocked tanks like reef crystals or oceanic. good luck and read alot on here, i was on this site 1-2 hrs a day when i first started.

got ya ... so 65 wts time for is not enough lights ?? what kind of light should i go with ??? just wondering ? and dose any one in ft collins have some test im broke i need help
