return pump question....
I am currently planning a 40g breeder display system, I already have a mag 7 I could use for a return pump but am considering the amount of heat it will release into my system. Would it be worth it to sell the mag and buy something like an external pan world or similar?
thanks

i use an external return pump and i would recommend it to any one. i started with a submersible pump then upgraded to the snapper after about 6 months...it is very quiet as well..

If you are really concerned about heat you can opt for a pump which draws less watts. Further reading here: http://energystarreefs.com/sump/
