Angry Avatars

What's the deal with avatars? Everyone on this forum that I have encountered or even when I have read different threads, have had their own avatar which distinguishes one from another. What's the deal when some new decides to use your avatar????????? It seems a little disrespectful if you ask me. I have been a reef central member longer then this reefer that decided to use my avatar. I know this person had to have seen some of my threads. This is not cool at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering how many thousands of people are on this forum, I'm not in the least bit surprised that there's a few repeats. I've seen a few, haven't seen your twin yet, but there's been some. You could send him a PM and ask him to change it? I don't think there's any way to really police duplicating avatars, nor do I think that its all that big of a deal, unless you two are constantly posting in the same threads or something.

Otherwise, you could sue him for encroachment or something!

Didn't you already post this in the feedback forum? This is general reef discussion and the wrong forum for it.

Like I said there it was wrong of them to use the same Avatar but my family has a few Masons in it and I am familiar with it. The FreeMasons sign and the The Masonic Square and Compasses is a symbol that can be used by many and not owned by one single person. Unfortunately your going to see it everywhere...........The person could have asked if you minded or not if they used the same one first but like I said.......
The same goes for mine....I may own that particular coral in the picture and that picture but not the species of coral

Use paint or photoshop and change the background to dark gray or something to change it so its different. Maybe modify the border to small outline with gold to make it different. You could still keep it but highlight it somehow.....

if the two of you are BOTH masons (?!?!?????)
why bring it up here?... would think you might want to work it out amongst yourselves...

thought that was a 'brotherhood' after all?
