some advice

im going to start a frag tank and im going to have well over 100lbs of established rock in my 2x 40g setup. i heard of people not using a skimmer in a softie tank and zoas do better, is this true?

plans - top tank will be frag tank with DSB a few rocks and small cleaner crew. bottom will be brimming with LR, calurpa and other macro algea, and a few softies . 300watt heater, return pump, maybe skimmer?

what you guys and girls think?

I would guess if you didn't run a skimmer there would be more food in the water column for them to feed on!?!?
