Who's eggs?
I noticed these eggs? on the front glass of my QT which currently houses Hermits a few Nasarios snails and a beat up choclate chip star. There was a pepermint shrimp, but he hasn't been seen for weeks ( I think he's gone). Sorry about the picture, the camera doesn't do macros well. 8 month old tank, egg pattern about a quarter in size about 3/4" off the sand bed.
Any ideas who they belong to?? |

Snails lay eggs on the fly. If you can call a snail's pace "on the fly".

Has anyone hatched them before?, How long do they take? Will the star eat them?.... I think my kids would get a kick out of the process. Thanks for any info!

My nassarius lay eggs on the glass all the time, but I've never seen any of them hatch. On the other hand, I have a nice little colony of stomatella snails that reproduce just fine in the tank.

My nass snails reproduce all the time. I've got all kinds of baby snails in my tank. My daughter usually gives me at least a weekly baby snail count!
