Need ideas to repair cracked Detec skimmer

I just cracked the wall of an APF600 Deltec skimmer and I am looking for some ideas to repair it. The cracks are at 12:00, 2:00 and 6:00 o'clock. The whole section flexes easily if I grab the bulkhead fitting and put sideways pressure on it.

I was thinking about taking a piece of 1/4" wall acrylic tube of a roughly matching ID to the Deltec OD, and then cutting a hex shaped hole in it to fit tightly around the hex of the bulkhead fitting. I would then glue it all together with acrylic cement.

I am open to suggestions so if you have a good idea please help me out.
