Anenome with flatworms?

I was given an anemone that came from a tank that had a bad case of flatworms.

I was under the impression that flatworms wouldn't effect the anemone. Is this correct or should I just keep this guy out of my tank.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Any other thoughts/comments? If This feeling is universal I would like to get him under some better lighting asap...

Hi the flat worms won't heart it. but they can get so bad that they will
block the light from corals.

What else do you have in your tank? I am confused by your question. Are you curious if the anemone will be hurt by flatworms or are you asking if he might carry them into your tank. I would never put anything into my tank that came from a flatworm infested tank. All you would be doing is possibly introducing flatworms into your tank.

For my .02, do everything in your power to keep the flat worms out of your tank. I got them from a small piece of LR that an RBTA was attached to. Make sure you get all the flat worms off the rock. I didn't.

BTA's can survive a fresh water dip.

If you QT the anemone you can treat any flatworms in there. The flatworms are not harbored, nor will they affect the anemone, but as mentioned, they can come in on LR. If there is a way to separate the anenome from the rock, you can add it without concern.

The anemone is not attached to any live rock.
