Please Help
I am about to order some anthias online...and as you know most places now require a 150 minimum or the shipping goes up.
So my question is, how many fish can I add at one time without crashing my system? I have a 125 with a massive skimmer. The octo TDNW300 to be exact. In there are 3 wrasses, a blenny, and dottyback. The only other items are some sps and shrooms. |

I prob wouldn't add more then 3 at 1 time but depends on the fish and how much they would add to the bio load

How long has the tank been set up? Also, does this tank have the seahorses still (as your signature indicates)? If so, the anthias and other aggressive eaters may not be the best choice.
But, in a well established tank of that size, you could easily add 6-7 smaller fish without too much of an issue, but there are a lot of factors that go into play.

my tank has been up for roughly 3 years. The seahorses have been moved to a 92 corner so they are no longer in there. just a solar wrasse, exquisite wrasse, ruby fin wrasse, indigo dottyback, and a small ora yellow blenny

I've added 5 fish at one time with no problem. I'd have a plan and add less agressive fish first, then move to the more questionable ones.

With a tank that established and large, you'll be fine adding 6 or so fish at once. If anything, plan on increasing water changes for the next couple weeks.

With schooling fish up to five at a time is usually fine for an established tank. In fact adding more new fish to a school doesn't always work out as their can be some aggression to the new arrivals.
