Help me! Bulb Problems!

My 175 Watt Hamilton bulbs were old and needed to be replaced.

I asked my LFS and he picked me up some Aquaconnect 175 watt bulbs. I put them in and they didn't fire up. I did some research on them and found out they were pulse start and my ballast (m57) were probe start.

So I ordered in some 175 Watt XM 10k bulbs. Several different things happen:

1) One bulb fires up, one does not. When I "shake" the mogul, the second bulb fires up, but after 60 seconds or so, both bulbs stop burning

2) One bulb fires, the other one doesn't and then both bulbs quit burning

3) Neither bulb fires up

All of this has happened. I'm not sure what to do, my old 175 watt bulbs were very old but since I didn't have any SPS I wasn't too worried. I picked up a dozen frags or so last week and they are all RTNing. I blame the light...what could be wrong?!?

The old bulbs still fire up like they have for the past 8 months (both bulbs used).
