salt creep
anyone notice a differance in salt creep when they change brands of salt? i switch to reefcrystals a few months back and it seems to be a little worse now

I doubt its the salt, but anything is possible.
more likely you changed something else which is giving more bubbles in the sump, or more turbulence and splashing. small bubbles are responsible from 99% of salt creep IMO, they rise to the surface and pop, which sends tiny tiny bits of saltwater in all directions randomly... over time this will buildup salt on the walls.

where is the salt creep? I doubt it would have anything to do with the different salt, though if you're keeping a higher salinity that may do it.

I've never noticed a difference with whatever salt I use. Its just when I move something like a pump in my tank to a different spot then it will start coming from a different spot.
