Where does brain coral fit in the LPS/SPS?

I was looking at getting started with some real corals. Just bought a new MH fixture for CHEAP... (2x150w @14k)

With my other lights it will bring my lighting up to 5.5 watts per gallon.

I think maze brain coral is probably the coolest coral i have ever seen and I'd like to grow some and branch away from my zoas.

How hard are they? Fish and tank friendly?

Fairly easy coral...your lighting will be just fine...personally I would keep him closer to the bottom...I am running 2 175W MH on my 90G...and the Brains I have are doing best mid-bottom range of the tank.

Good to hear it's pretty easy.

Should I put it on the sand or on rock?

I keep mine on the sand...but you can place it on the rocks as well. Your choice
