my toadstool never open up after 3-day light off

Should I worry about it? My toadstool hasn't opened up for 1 week now after a 3-day light off.

All water parameters look good to me. Should I move it to a new location? BTW,my starfish passed away during last week, is it the cause?

Thanks a lot...

where have you place it in regards to flow and lighting---they like medium to low flow and medium light conditions

My toadstools have always done better in med-high flow (not direct flow though) as opposed to lower flow, and they've always opened up and colored up much nicer under brighter light.

that starfish probably isnt helping things...check for nitrates (and all other params for that matter). They can be finicky at times, especially after a 3 day no light period... But i've seen them get totally abused and be fine. As long as it doesnt start rotting away, it will be fine. I personally wouldnt really worry at this point, just make sure you keep up with the params

I had strong lighting and they prefered to be on the outter edge of the light but a constant flow. most leather in the wild are out on a ledge and need the flow to carry away the large amounts of waist they produce. So if it has not started to decay then I would wait to see They "sleep" alot when presented with shock. But usually bounce right back

Every toadstool I ever had was a moody creature. They close up for weeks for no apparent reason then open back up happier than ever.

Stop turning the lights off for 3 days. it's stressing the coral obviously and won't do much good otherwise in my opinion.
