water source for R.O. D.I. system

Hello,
I am looking to store my ro system in the garage. I was wondering if instead of running cpvc pipe through the celing and down I could run a hose from around the side of the house and hook it up that way? I am a little cautious incase for some reason the hose is able to absorb things into the rubber or won't remain clean enough. Any advice would help.

I do exactly what you're suggesting, and I've been doing it for about 3 years now with no problems. On the input side of the system, I just don't see it as an issue. Any impurities the hose or any of the fittings are going to add should be removed by your RO/DI.

Use a hose intended for drinking water like for an RV. You can get them at any RV store or even at WalMart in the automotive section.

You could use Black Polyflow tubing or PVC pipe outside the house. I wouldn't run it thru the ceiling if you can avoid it.
