diy cal /alk question

i'm wanting to try that diy on cal/ alk using dow flake i'v seen the how to video and he is using the 77-80 % dow the only stuff i can find is the 83-87% dow im guessing its the new version of the old stuff i was wondering if any one else has used the new dow or if you even can use the83-87% i heard that the bromain is higher in the new dow also any insite would be great
