Is this a good price on a 75g?

My local fish store is selling a 75g (48x18x20) glass tank only for $140. Tank is not reef ready. Does this sound like a good price?

For brand new or previously owned I normally am willing to pay about 2 dollars a gallon for brand new. And does it come with a stand?

No stand. Just the tank.

That's a fair price.

This is the All-Glass brand. The shop told me that none of the glass was tempered. Does this sound right? I thought I heard the bottoms of the 75 were tempered. Anybody know?

That's a good price now. I bought my first 75g a few years back for a little less than that. I think most 75g's I've seen are 180$ for tank only.

I've been checking out craiglist and my local board but everyone is selling a tank/stand/canopy combo and I want to do a peninsula tank so I am going to build my own. Seems like a good price and I might just pick it up.

By the way, called All-Glass and the bottom is tmpered but the sides are not...8^)

If you are planning on a reef, I'd wait, pay a bit more and purchase a reef ready tank with a sump.
