one hammer head is dead, one is still alive, will the dead one grow back?

Its on the same single stalk, just has two heads.

Unfortunetally I lost the one during a tank crash but the other one is totally thriving.

Will the dead one ever come back to life, or should I just hack it off?

If there is no tissue left and its just the skeleton, then no it wont come back. Although thats not to say that the other one might split and grow over it, but when they split they typically only grow more branches (if its the branching version) as far as i'm aware

if its really dead, it likely won't come back no. it will grow new ones though.

Very slim chance it will ever come back. I'd just hack it off.

It won't "re grow" but I wouldn't hack the skeleton yet. There could be some living tissue inside that isn't showing that could get healthy again once everything is back on track. Although very unlikely it could happen. New heads should form pretty quickly though, hammers are pretty quick growers under good conditions.

hmm. I may just hack it off. It is doing well but I'm not seeing rapid growth. Granted it's only been 4 months and they survived a tank crash.

I would remove the dead portion of the skeleton as well, I find them to be unsightly. It won't regrow if there's nothing left on it.
