brown dot (scar looking) on yellow toadstool

help pls, I just wonder what the brown dots (scar looking) growing on my yellow toadstool is? It doesn't look healty recently, and never fully open.

on the other side, it has about 10 dots ... I don't know if I can cut without hurting the coral.

Just cut the whole coral up into chunks. And place them on frag plugs with the tooth pick method I believe. You can even chop up the stalk and they will grow new polyps. After you cut them place them in some water from the tank for they will release some toxins which you don't want in your system. Then place them in dt or frag tank. Run carbon in the dt. If you need more info check the propagation forum.
