bulkhead sizes???

I just measured the two holes in the overflow of my new tank (glasscages). One meausred 2 3/4" the other: 1 3/4".
What size bulkheads are those? I thought I read somewhere about Sched 80 bulkheads requiring larger diameter holes??

Looks like the 1.75" is a standard 1" bulkhead, and the 2.75 maybe a 1.5" shedule 80 http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_Aquari...strainers.html
