Switching from PC to T5, anything I should do to transition?

I have a 70g oceanic rr tank, I've been running current pc orbit lights (2x96w)... I just purchased the current nova extreme pro t5ho (6x39w). My PC bulbs are about 3-4 months old. Should I do anything special when I switch to the new fixture? Run the lights less hours a day for a while to let corals acclimate to newer bulbs & a bit more wattage or start with less then the 6 bulbs or should I be ok to just put them on and run as normal?

Thanks for any tips!

Yes, shorten the photoperiod by a couple of hours for a week, then an hour for a week, then back to normal. I recently upgraded to a T5 fixture and that was my strategy and it worked well.

noboddi: thank you for the advice, I'll do that!

reiko1078: I haven't actually put it on the tank yet, it just arrived yesterday. I'm hoping to get it up and running tomorrow or Tuesday and I'll get back to you. Check ebay, current sells some refurb units directly through there, mine is a grade A and you would NEVER know looking at it that it wasn't brand new, perfect condition and they even sent the brand new bulbs in a separate box. I got it for a really good price that way.
