Stocking my 55g

I have a 55g with a 20 g Long sump that is completely cycled, been up and running 3 months. It has about 60#'s LR. Already added the clean-up crew, now it's time for the fish. I'm thinking of adding 2 false perc's, firefish, and a cardinal. I would also like to add a wrasse of some sort. Is this too many fish? If this list is okay, what order should they be introduced? I will also be adding corals at a later date.

no thats not too many fish at all. They're all pretty small and relatively inactive...the clowns are the most active but they tend to stick to one area (specially if they've got a coral)....the wrasse would undoubtedly be the most active if you get one...i highly recommend a sixline wrasse. Thats my fav fish and i plan on getting one in a few days. Very active, always toolin around the rock lookin for bugs. I've heard stories of them being aggressive, but i've had 2 now and never once witnessed it so much as nipping at another fish. Very pretty fish too.

I'd say you could fit another couple/few fish...maybe a dwarf/pygmy angel... Always had good luck w/my coral beauty angels, and cherub pygmy angels are always a fav as well. Maybe a smaller hawkfish if there's no inverts...

As far as intruductions, i recommend adding the most peaceful/mild fish first. IMO you could add the cardinal and the firefish at the same time in that size tank... Both are kinda midwater fish, both pretty shy, especially the firefish at first. Add the clowns after those 2, and then maybe the wrasse and then if you do a hawk, that should be last IMO.

i usually tend to do smaller guys first, (gobies and such) and then bigger ones last (angels/tangs/whatever...although no tangs in a 55 IMO dispite what others say)

Thanks for the advice. That is my concern. That I may have chosen some fishes that just kind of hang out in the tank and don't move around much. Does anybody else have any suggestions as to what I should stock my 55 with. The only things that are must haves are the clowns, my 2 year old would be very sad if "Nemo" didn't come to live with us.

I have a 55 corner and it sounds like we're in the same place. I have a diamond goby to stir up the substrate and I just added a fire fish. I dont have any suggestions for you...cause i'm wondering myself

If you're looking for active fish, wrasses are probably what you're looking for... And dwarf angels are pretty active but not always coral/invert safe.

Or maybe some sort of blenny, they're funny to watch
