Just a few questions.

Hi there everyone.

I have some questions that will hopefully help me with the setting up of my reef tank.

1) how long can you store mixed seawater ?

2) can you join a nano (15 gallon) that is in another room to an existing sump (40 gallon) that will be running a 100 gallon tank ?

Please also note that i do not have the sump or tank yet they are being designed (by myself) to get them right and make it easier before i buy them.

NEW TANK THREAD (HERE)

NEW SUMP THREAD (HERE LATEST DESIGN IS ON PAGE 2)

Thanks very much for any help with the questions.

One other thing for a 100 gallon tank how much sand would you need for it to work with the live rock as a filter.

Thanks very much

Hi rick how did you join them ?

My kitchen is where my nano lives now with just a clown and a (annoying) ghost gobie (sand sifter) Plus cleanup crew.

Now my kitchen is about 12-15 meters from where my sump will go but i was thinking a separate (smaller) pump to pump from the sump to the nano tank ?

Regards
Mick
