t5 lamps burned in hours

I just set up a new lighting system with an icecap 660 009, 4 24w T5s (2 actinics & 2 10K) and waterproof endcaps.
All new from Drs Foster & Smith

I set up the system and everything worked fine

I have been turning the system on for 1 hour the last 4 days until today that it would not start

The 2 actinics start for 1 second and then shut off, and the 2 10,000K seem burned at the ends

Any ideas of what may have cause this?

Post this in the Lighting forum and ask Grim; (he is managing a T5 Q&A thread that you will see) and he will be of huge help to you.

check to see if the lamps are properly seated.. Most narva lamps have an area of the bulb that goes quite dark called the cold spot.

but cold spots are not indicative of a failed ballast.....none of the lights coming on and working correctly is

are you sure you have the ballast wired correctly for 4 24W bulbs
