Gen-X pump question

I am plumbing my sump to the basement. Would you reccomend the Gen-X PCX40 external or the Gen-X GX6000 sub or inline pump? will have about 8 to 9 feet of head loss and 3 outlets into my 90 gallon tank.

the pcx40 would be a better choice pushing water at that height. The gx6000 would work but would be working pretty darn hard.

8 or 9 feet of head doesn't seem like enough. Is the sump going to be elevated in the basement? If its a full 8 foot ceiling height and your display tank is normal height you are probably looking at more like 10 to 12 feet just for the vertical lift then add in any elbows and other fittings and it probably in the 14-15 foot range.

I was thinking the same thing but was trying to put some trust in the OP's ability to measure My gx6000 is pushing against a little more than 5' and it is just a normal 90G + stand.

I cant see how a genx 40 pushing with any amount of flow out 3 exits up to the next floor. I run the genx40 for a closed loop and it works great.

however, when I had to set up some temp holding locations and I used a genx to pump about 6ft vertical head with 3 outputs, I was extremely dissapointed with the lack of water movement. I trimmed it down to 2 and it did better, but still not what I had expected
