Vinegar to lower pH?
Does anyone have a formula to lower your pH using white vinegar? I am about .3 higher than I should be, so I'm looking for a gradual reduction but since I've never done it... would rather not turn my tank into a guinea pig
Little help would be appreciated!

carbonated water (soda water) works better, but if you leave it alone it will probably fall on it's own. Exactly how high is the pH? If it's not over 8.5 you should probably leave it be.

I agree with seapug.....check it in a day or to, it should come down a little, if your not doseing something.

Your pH probably goes through a daily up/down cycle. Assuming you are accurately measuring it, try reading at different times of day.
Generally, you should probably not attempt to manipulate pH.

Measuring with a Hagen test kit, I was dosing Kalk but put it on hold until I can get the pH down. Thanks folks, I'll do another water change in a few days if it's still between 8.4 and 8.5 (which is where it was)
