Is this what I think it is??

Ive been keeping some lr for my new setup in a Styrofoam bin. I found this while I was moving the lr to another bin. what is it?

its a copepod. very beneficial for the tank. no worries

Pod, yes; Copepod, no. Looks like an Amphipod to me...

oh ok. I couldnt really tell what it was. I thought it was a mantis or some other unwanted invert. thanks

I too thought it was a baby mantis when I first saw one... Who knew I would purposefully keep these amazing creatures one day. And yes, it is amphipod
