Hi,
My stock JBJ 28 HQI air driven skimmer is, believe it or not, the micro bubble culprit in my tank. It skims reasonable well and I do weekly 1 gallon wc's to make up for any slack in its performance, but the bubbles are driving me nuts. Are there any known adverse effects to running a skimmer only at night? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks,

25% water changes weekly, # 1 priority.
skimmer should run 24-7, SW left in a skimmer (or anything else) without circulation for a duratin of an hour or more, bacteria starts to die off increasing N03... to reduce microbubbles, run slightly hot tap water through the skimmer to remove manufactureres residue...
