Heating RO water with the microwave?
Can I just heat some replacement water in the microwave before dumping it in the sump. It is cold now in southern Alabama and my RO water is in the carport. I might have to hunt and find an old aquarium heater to do this.

Yes, you can.
A microwave heats by exciting water molecules. It does not remove or add anything to the water. Heating water by microwave is the quickest and most efficient (green) method. I would advise heating a small amount (1-2 cups) in the microwave to near boiling (1-2 mins) and add that to a larger quantity of water. Mix and repeat until the batch is at the right temp. |

Thanks Motherfish. I will use a Pyrex cup and heat a little bit at a time.
