skimmer question

i just got a skimmer and set it in my tank and it crazy buble inside the skimmer, but how long before any bubles reach the top?

Skimmer can take a while to break in when new. A few days to a week or so. They usually have some oils form manufacturing on them when new. Did you rinse it with warm water or run it in a water/vinegar solution to help remove the oils? If so it'll speed up the break in.
