help my green star polyps are dying!!!

I have had a nice colony of green star polyps which I reallly like. They have doubled in size in the last 2 months and all of a sudden yesterday a small portion of it was closed with a dusty looking brown powder in a lump on them. I blew it off with a turkey baster and today it seem worse and they seem to be half dead. Is this some type of parasite? how can I control this?

Have you dosed or treated the tank with anything lately?

When was the last time you tested your water?

I tested my water over the weekend at it seems fine ph 8.2 dk = 9, NH3 NO3 PO4 all zero Ca 420. I just got a test for iodide and it was zero also so I started dosing with that. it is now 0.06 ppm. I also started dosing with strontium and molybdenum from kent because it seemed to be a good thing to do.

Lighting is compact fluorecents 4 x 65 watts in a 75gallon tank. All my LPS are looking good. frogg spaun, duncan, open brain, hammers, as are my anthias sp? and yellow and green polyps and I also have two colonies of zooanthids all are fine.

is the covering slimmy? Cyno possibly? perhaps try readjusting the flow so you get a little more flow on the affected area.

Most people have problems with GSP taking over thier tanks, havn't know of myany things that bother them.
