Regarding waste water (yet another thread)
I'm going to be filling my upgraded setup this weekend (125 + 20 dt/75 sump/fuge). I'm also going to be moving my freshwater setups (a 75 and a 29). I think the question should be pretty obvious at this point but I'll state my case anyway.
My tapwater is 187 ppm tds. In one freshwater tank I have a flowerhorn and the other is small africans (only 2 of them left but they get along). Assuming I dechlorinate/etc my waste water would I be able to use it in my freshwater setups? It's awful wasteful to run almost 800 gallons of water down the drain... I don't want to spark a debate about mistreating fish by using lower quality water for them and using higher quality water for corals and whatnot I just figured Africans like hard water and flowerhorns don't exist in nature so who knows what they like (they can take all sorts of different kinds of water, very hardy). It could be ~100 gallons saved from the drain. |

h--mmm not sure about the answer to that question, normally the waste water is used on the garden, not sure if there would be a problem using it on fresh water, in theory i suppose not, but just not sure
