Is there a limit to coral.
I have a established 120 reef. A person near here is breaking down an amazing reef tank due to this horrible economy unfortunately. Will it screw up the established eco-system in my tank if I put a lot of new coral in at once?

what is alot? what kind of corals? most likely you would be okay; but if you could stagger the additions over time, it would give them a little time to acclimate.

The most important things to consider, in your situation...do you have room for the extra corals? Do you have the means to meet the additional need for Calcium, Alk and Magnesium that the addition of a lot of extra corals will put on your tank?

As far as tank health in concern of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate
the tank will be fine You will just have to be actively concerned about cal, alk, and mag as well as maybe doing a lil more water changes than normal to replace trace elements so if you were doing like 10% weekly maybe to 15% weekly for like 2~3 weeks and then go back to 10% weekly just to be extra safe Personally myself I would do it without a second guess if it is a good deal.............I would make sure though to ask about pests dont want to introduce new coral and wipe out your coral in the process
