Red Algae on FeatherDuster..get them both out?
Hi
Have what I am certain is RED ALGAE Caulacanthus ustulatus on one of my feather dusters. I tore off what I could carefully but my understanding is that I don't want this stuff in my tank. Should I sacrifice the duster to be safe? Thanks

If it is red slime algae, then you can use Ultra life's red slime remover. Is safe for everything in a reef. And i've used it in my full mixed reef a couple times with great results.

I second the red slime remover, have used it alot of times in my tanks over the years and no problems, just remember to do water changes after every treatment

it's not slime...it was branching and semi translucent...actually kind of attractive. it's exactly like the photo at Melev's.
