good protein skimmer for 75g - 100g tank?

I'm setting up an either 75g or 100g in the next couple months and i have NO idea whatsoever for what skimmer to get. There are too many out there and I've heard good and bad about many. So far I've narrowed down to Octopus (no idea what models fits 75-100g), Vertex IN-100, Coralife (w.e model for 75-100), Aqua C Remora (w.e model for 75-100), or DAS.

I've seen Deltec skimmers but well don't really feel like digging a hole in wallet.

any suggestions?

I've got a NW-200 in my 75g tank and am happy with it.

There are plenty of great ones out there.
Euroreef, Octopus, Lifereef, Deltec - and not in that order.
Just dont try and skimp on a skimmer.(or your lighting)

Well I definitely don't want to skimp on either. As for lighting, I'm thinking of getting either 6x54w or 8x54w Sunlight Supply T5 TEK lighting. And as for the skimmer, i definitely want to get a good one, but a good Deltec skimmer costs $1000+ and being a student, I can't afford that much. But I'm leaning towards and Octopus skimmer.

Has anyone had experience with DAS skimmers. With these skimmers, especially, I've read a lot of good and bad.

Some people sell skimmers made out of extruded acrylic instead of cast acrylic. That's why they cost a lot less.
I prefer cast because it's easier to clean and doesn't get hazy after awhile.

I have gotten the most positive feedback on octopus skimmers. Well then I guess it's decided, I'll go with an Octopus NW-150 as well, seeing as how I will be setting up a 75g tank too (not copying to fish_wiz, just what i had planned already :P).

Thanks again for all the info and advice guys.

I put a octopus extreme 200 on my 55g, still breaking in but seems pretty good.

+1 on the Octo Extreme . I have the MSX 160, basically the same thing, and it works great for me.

Octopus/MSX Extreme 200 will give you the ability to upgrade to a larger system w/o having to buy a new skimmer. That will be my next large purchase.
